1Agreement to these terms
These terms apply when you use the Remorant website, dashboard and API (together, the "service"). Remorant is developed by Whizzonby. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation, and "you" refers to the organisation.
2Definitions
- Service: the Remorant website, dashboard, API and related documentation.
- Customer data: the transaction data and other content you send to the service.
- Output: the scores, risk bands, recommended decisions and reason codes the service returns.
- Account: the workspace and user logins created for you.
3The service
Remorant scores transactions and returns a risk score, a recommended decision and the reasons for it. Output is a recommendation based on statistical models and rules.
You decide what happens to each payment. Remorant does not authorise, hold or decline transactions. You are responsible for how you use output, for your own authorisation and compliance decisions, and for reviewing output with appropriate human oversight.
4Accounts
- Give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
- Keep passwords, tokens and API keys confidential, and limit access to people who need it.
- You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account.
- Tell us promptly at hello@whizzonby.com if you believe an account or credential has been compromised.
5Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service in breach of any law or regulation that applies to you;
- send data that you do not have the right to share with us;
- attempt to gain access to another customer's data or to parts of the service you are not authorised to use;
- probe, scan or test the service for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
- interfere with the service, or bypass rate limits or other technical controls;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the service, except where the law allows this despite these terms.
6Your data
You keep all rights in your customer data. You give us permission to process it in order to provide, secure and maintain the service.
You confirm that you have the notices, consents and legal basis needed to send customer data to us. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
7Fees and payment
Paid plans are charged as shown at sign-up or as agreed with us in writing. Plans combine a base fee with usage charges based on the number of transactions scored.
Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for the fees due. Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise.
8API use and limits
Use of the API is subject to the rate limits for your plan, which are published in the developer documentation. We may change the API. Where a change is likely to affect existing integrations, we will try to give reasonable notice.
9Sandbox and testing
The sandbox and playground are provided for evaluation and testing. Do not send real personal data to them. Results from test environments are illustrative.
10Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the service, including the software, models and documentation. These terms give you a right to use the service while your account is active. They do not transfer ownership of any part of it. You may use output for your own internal business purposes.
11Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and may carry out maintenance or make changes to it. Unless we have agreed a service level with you in a separate written agreement, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
12Disclaimers
Fraud detection is probabilistic. No system identifies every fraudulent transaction or avoids every false alert, and Remorant does not promise that it will.
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind beyond those set out in these terms or in a separate written agreement with us.
13Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue or data, arising from the use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that puts the service or other customers at risk, or where fees remain unpaid. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you the chance to put things right.
15Separate agreements
If you have signed a separate written agreement with us covering your use of the service, that agreement takes priority over these terms where the two differ.
16Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email or in the dashboard. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
